God has created a truly fascinating and beautiful creature in the butterfly. It’s life cycle is so unique compared to the many other creatures He has put on the earth. It starts out as a lowly caterpillar hatching from an egg. Bound to crawl on the earth on it’s belly, its not very mobile, and not particularly beautiful when compared to what it will become. But when the time has come for transformation, it hides away in a protective chrysalis and after a season, emerges fully mature, fully transformed into a butterfly. This is the time for it to spread its wings and share God’s beauty with the world.

At Wellspring Church, this is our desire for each of us as believers, no matter where we are in our Spiritual maturity. We believe that growing in knowledge of God’s word is extremely important for each of us to become disciples of Christ. In fact, it is commanded by God.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Romans 12:2

This transformation which occurs with the renewing of our minds is how we can reach that next level of Spiritual maturity. To learn and grow in the knowledge of Christ Jesus.

If you sense that urging to change and to become more like Jesus, come to Him. Get to know Him as we dig into His word. Get to know Him as we get to know each other. If you want to experience God’s transformative power, learn with us, grow with us, and be amazed at what Christ can do to change our lives for the better, join us on Sunday Nights!

New Testament Survey • Andy Smith, Associate Professor of New Testament, Cornerstone University

We read in the pages of the New Testament the coming of the Messiah – Jesus Christ, who fulfills the promises of the Old Testament regarding the redeemer of Israel. But that same messiah of Israel is also the Savior of the whole world. The Gospels and Acts give us the story of Jesus, while Paul's letters to many of his churches use letter writing to the further the Gospel. It all concludes with a marvelous work that is an epistle, and which contains in addition prophecy and apocalyptic style. It should be a fun, if not brief and intense, journey, as we gain insight into how God’s new redemption plan.

SESSION 2 CLASSES

Discipleship for Men • Andrew Hanna

The last Word's of Jesus on earth were these “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” This is an amazing verse, making discipleship a very important command for all followers of Jesus Christ. But what is it? How do I disciple someone? What does it mean to be discipled? How does this practically play itself out in my life and the lives of my family and brothers in Christ?

Join us as we dive into this amazing journey of discipleship and we will find out the answers to these questions. Our prayer is that God will teach us all as how to become men of God who make disciples.
