NIGHT OF PRAYER: Praying with Power and Purpose
Friday, August 17-Saturday August 18, 7pm-7am in the Wellspring Sanctuary.
WHY ARE WE PRAYING?
Wellspring's mission statement is "Glorifying God by Making Disciples of Christ Jesus." One of the ways we make disciples is encouraging a vibrant and active prayer life.
From the way God has moved so incredibly in our midst, to the great needs that remain in the world, we have much to bring to God's throne. Worship, intercession, provision, gratitude, healing and much more.
Prayer is effective! We have seen God prove this constantly! Take a moment and think about the ways God has answered prayers... The Holy Spirit moves in an incredible and unique way when His body of believers put prayer into practice.
We want to invite our entire congregation to a new undertaking of corporate prayer with the first of our NIGHTS of PRAYER.
SIGN UP FOR A 20 MINUTE INTERVAL
Will you accept the responsibility of being here in the church for a 20-minute interval? If you would like to sign up, please stop by the Information Center by the nursery, and put your name down in a blank. What you do with this blank is between you and God, but we ask that you take that time with Him exclusively.
HOW DO I PRAY?
We ask that when you come, that there be no socialization with others and that it remain quiet so as not to disturb any others as they pray. There will be at least two deacons and elders in the sanctuary for the vigil's entire 12 hours. If you or anyone else needs special prayer, they will be available, along with members of our prayer team.
Blank prayer cards will be available for every member of our Wellspring family to write down specific prayer requests. These can be signed or remain anonymous, and be available for you to pray over should you choose to do so.
You will not run out of things to pray about. When you are completely focused on God, you may find that you want to stay longer than your twenty minute interval. This is to be encouraged!
Nursery and child care will not be available at this time.
