SUNDAY EVENINGS Series

How do I react to someone holding a different sexual identity than mine? What about speaking in tongues? How do I keep the mind of Christ when it comes to politics? Is it ok if I cut my grass on Sundays?

In this special series, our pastoral staff and special guests will talk through those topics in a practical, yet eye-opening evening series here at Wellspring. Click on the tracks below to listen!

APRIL 23, 2017 • THE CHARISMATIC GIFTS

MARCH 26, 2017 • HOW TO GUARD YOUR HEART ONLINE
CHRIS BROWN, TechMin

TechMin's Chris Brown has developed an Internet Safety course designed to help families and churches have an understanding of the importance of guarding your heart and protecting your mind with the technology culture around us. Chris walks through the overwhelming technology-saturated world we live in and its effects on us, then discusses where the real problem comes from and how the battle is really inside our hearts against sin. Chris then helps listeners create some boundaries and offers parenting tools and explains resources to help.

FEBRUARY 12, 2017 • Biblically Loving Our LGBTQ Friends
Matt & Laurie Krieg, Hole In My Heart Ministries

Matt and Laurie Krieg live by their ministry motto of "all fall short, and all are loved." They know first hand what it's like to "fall short" --Matt wrestling with a pornography addiction, and Laurie consistently submitting her same-sex attractions to the Lordship of Jesus. The pair also know first hand what it's like to experience the love of God in places of deepest need. This combination of awareness of need and dependence on Jesus helps them not only to survive sexual struggle, but to thrive in the midst of it. What they have learned they transfer to their counseling, speaking, and blogging ministry. They share how they journey dependent on Jesus, how they come alongside people who wrestle with sexual identity or addiction, and how we can do the same.

So how do we as Christians engage in the conversation while maintaining our focus on the Savior? Pastor Steve and Pastor Aaron walk us through how to shine the light of Jesus into politics.

NOVEMBER 14, 2016 • IS THE OLD TESTAMENT RELEVANT TODAY?
PASTOR STEVE GIBSON

"Should I get a tattoo even though the Bible forbids it? Is it ok to mow my lawn or rake leaves on Sunday? What about drinking alcohol?" There were many things the Bible forbade at one time. Why? Should we keep the OT law today? Pastor Steve talks about it in the light of Romans 14, and what we are commanded to do today.
