Serving Others Together is one of our four Core Values at Wellspring, and we strive to equip and encourage the people of Wellspring to give their time in ministry and to be God's hands and feet in their community. Many of our programs are volunteer-run, and we need your help! Here's some opportunities that are available right now.


TRUNK N TREAT

We had over 1000 people come to our campus last time, and this is a great opportunity to show hospitality to our community. We are looking for people to help us out! FIRST IMPRESSIONS TEAM

+ AMBASSADORS

DESCRIPTION

We are here to serve the Lord as His ambassadors, offering a welcoming and positive experience for both new visitors and as well our family of believers. Our purpose is to help our guests feel welcomed, accepted and loved into this community which we call our Wellspring Family.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Regular attendee or a participating Member of Wellspring.

TIME COMMITMENT

• Minimally twice a month but as often as you desire.

• Sunday early team: 8:15-10:30am

• Sunday 2nd service: 10:15am-12:30pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Arrive 15 minutes before your serving time begins in order to allow time for prayer with the other teams.

• Ambassador assigned to the North Hall to pray with greeters, parking lot team, and security.

• Ambassador assigned to the West Entrance will pray with the Koinonia team, nursery team and greeters at that door.

• Ambassador assigned to the South Hall will pray with the Greeters at both doors and the Check-in Team.

• Wear identifying team jackets and shirts.

• Be flexible and serve wherever the need.

• Escort individuals to their destinations.

• Be familiar with information and brochures that are available.

• Be alert and aware of needs around you, sensing others feelings and available if there is a need for prayer.

• Be available to guests and not held up by friends in conversations. GUESTS COME FIRST.

• PLEASE arrange for another Ambassador to serve in your place if the need arises. If unable to find one let us know, so that we can cover this position.

DESCRIPTION

You are the smiling, and loving face that most visitors will remember. Remember that we are here to glorify GOD in all that we do and say. It’s all about the LORD and coming to honor HIM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend Team Time promptly and regularly (first fifteen minutes before actual serving time to have time for prayer.)

• Retrieve your Name tags from Volunteer Center.

• Receive any notes and assignments

• You have spent adequate time in prayer & personal preparation. In order that HIS radiance might shine thru you….in other words that, you are empowered by the HOLY SPIRIT.

GREETING

• SMILE

• Make eye contact and know or learn how to read people.

• Intentionally extend your hand with a firm but gentle hand-shake. This includes all ages

• Getting down to their level when possible.

• Respectfully available in their space.

• Engaged greeting: “Welcome, Glad you came!" or "Nice to see you today!”

• Be quick to open the door

• Be respectful & direct…giving your full attention to them.

• Escorting or transferring them to an Ambassador for connection if necessary.

• Placement at all four (4) entrances.

We are here to serve the LORD and do so by offering the best refreshments possible. Our actions and attitude must be driven by Our love of the LORD. Each of us have the responsibility to make others feel welcomed and loved, in the same way that Christ loved others. • Sunday Assistant: 9:00am-12:30 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Arrive 15 minutes before your serving time begins, to allow time for prayer with the rest of the team.

• Be sure to wear your name tags/aprons.

• Follow the guidelines and rules of the leader of the shop.

+ PARKING LOT

In serving in this ministry it is of utmost importance, especially since you are the first live person that everyone encounters, make it count. Help start everyone off on the right foot by greeting them with not only a wave but also a smile and perhaps a kind word of encouragement.

• Place any cones or outdoor signage.

• Ensure parking lot conditions are safe, especially in winter or inclement weather.

WELLSPRING KIDS

NOTICE: Anyone working with minors will need to complete a screening and background check form.

+ NURSERY CHECK-IN/WELCOME

Help us say “Welcome!” at the nursery check in on Sunday Mornings. Your primary job is to be a warm, welcoming face for families dropping kids off to the nursery.

DETAILS

Volunteers on this team serve by helping check in young kids [infant-2’s] on Sunday mornings. We have weekly serving roles, with shifts taking place before and during each morning service [9:00am or 11:00am]. A pre-serving application is required, and training will be provided on the first day you serve.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & GIFTS

Volunteers must be comfortable talking with parents and greeting children. Organization and willingness to adhere to policies and procedures are also important.

+ NURSERY CLASSROOM VOLUNTEER

Our Sunday Classroom Team works together to facilitate morning events in Babies, playing with and caring for kids, telling Bible stories, and leading kids in worship and prayer. We’d love for you to join our team!

DETAILS

Volunteers on this team serve by caring and loving young kids [infant-2’s] on Sunday mornings. We have weekly and bi-weekly serving roles, during both the 9am and 11am services. A pre-serving interview is required.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & GIFTS

We’re looking for people who enjoy playing with and caring for kids. Someone who is relational and who can work flexibly together to ensure kids are well cared for and taught. No experience is necessary for any of these roles.

+ PRESCHOOL SUNDAY CLASSROOM TEAM

Our Sunday Classroom Team works together to facilitate morning events in Preschool caring for kids, sharing Bible stories, and joining kids in worship and prayer. We’d love for you to join our team!

DETAILS

This team consists of people who are able to work alongside a member of the teaching team. Volunteers on this team serve by caring and loving preschoolers [3’s-Kindergarten] on Sunday mornings. We have monthly and bi-weekly serving roles, during both the 9am and 11am services. A pre-serving interview is required. Training will be given prior to serving as well.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & GIFTS

We’re looking for people who enjoy playing with and caring for kids. Someone who is relational and who can work flexibly together to ensure kids are well cared for and taught. No experience is necessary for any of these roles.

Our Teaching Team in Preschool works together on Sundays to serve our 3-year-olds to Kindergartners: guiding them through small group time, facilitating morning events, telling Bible stories, and joining them in worship and prayer. We hope you’ll join us!

We have monthly or weekly serving roles, with shifts taking place before and during each morning service [9:00am or 11:00am]. A pre-serving application is required, and training will be provided on the first day you serve.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & GIFTS

Storytellers must be able to act out skits, sing along with CDs, and pray with a large group of young kids.

+ PRESCHOOL WORSHIP TEAM

Sunday mornings in preschool include a Large Group experience of teaching, videos, and worship. A variety of volunteers help make our Large Group time engaging, exciting, and meaningful—not only for our kids but for other volunteers, as well!

DETAILS

You’ll serve with us on Sunday mornings in preschool during our 9am and 11am services, either weekly or less often, depending on the role and your availability. During the Large Group time, you will push play on a worship video and lead kids through the song. Members of this team participate in 2 trainings during the year; one through the church worship director and one through children’s ministry policies.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & GIFTS

We’re looking for people who enjoy worshiping God and sharing that with young people. Being exciting and engaging will also help.

+ ELEMENTARY SUNDAY CLASSROOM TEAM

Our Sunday Classroom Team works together to facilitate morning events in Elementary caring for kids, sharing Bible stories, and joining kids in worship and prayer. We’d love for you to join our team!

DETAILS

This team consists of people who can work alongside a member of the teaching team. Volunteers on this team serve by caring and loving elementary students [1st-4th Grade] on Sunday mornings. We have monthly and bi-weekly serving roles, during both the 9am and 11am services. A pre-serving interview is required. Training will be given prior to serving as well.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & GIFTS

We’re looking for people who enjoy playing with and caring for kids. Someone who is relational and who can work flexibly together to ensure kids are well cared for and taught. No experience is necessary for any of these roles.

You’ll serve with us on Sunday mornings in elementary during our 9am and 11am services, either weekly or less often, depending on the role and your availability. During the Large Group time, our Tech Team Members manage audio, lighting, video, and graphics. Worship leaders lead students through a series of worship songs. Members of this team participate in 2 trainings during the year; one through the church worship director and one through children’s ministry policies.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & GIFTS

If you love tech-related media, can run lights and other audio/video equipment OR enjoy worshiping God through song, we hope you’ll consider serving as part of our team!

+ AWANA VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for leaders willing to “be real” with our students. Primary job is to help co-lead a small group, and be invested in student’s life.

DETAILS

People serving in this position are committing to being at youth group weekly as you seek to be relational and help the youth of the church grow in their faith. Throughout the year there will be several events as well to aid in the relationship building process.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & GIFTS

Leaders must be relational, caring, and have a passion for students.

+ VERTICAL YOUTH GROUP (7th/8th Grade) GAME COORDINATOR

Help us come up with fun games for youth group! Your job will be to plan, set up, and lead the games for our youth group nights.

DETAILS

Leaders on this team serve by helping in Vertical Youth when we meet on Sunday nights throughout the year, as well as attend events when applicable.

Qualifications, Skills, and gifts

Leaders must be creative, energetic, and passionate.

+ VERTICAL YOUTH GROUP (7th/8th Grade) SNACK COORDINATOR

Help us come up with tasy snacks for Vertical Youth! Your job will be to plan, set up, and prepare snacks for our youth group nights.

Leaders on this team serve by helping in Vertical Youth when we meet on Sunday nights throughout the year.

Qualifications, Skills, and gifts?

Leaders must desire to provide a fun snack for Vertical Youth using allotted funds.

MEDICAL TEAM

Wellspring has a volunteer Medical Team present in the back of the Sanctuary during the service to assist with any medical emergencies that may arise. We need people who are comfortable with administering first-aid and trained in CPR and AED.
