Elder and Deacon Nomination Timeline 2025
March 23 – April 27 → Open Nominations
The congregation submits nominations for elders and deacons.
May 6 → Nominations Reviewed
Elders review submissions and begin a week of prayer.
May 13 – June 3 → Nominations Vetted
Selected candidates go through interviews and application processes.
July 1 → Final Elder Approval
After a month of prayer, elders finalize the list of candidates.
July 27 → Congregation Informed
Candidates for elders and deacons are announced to the church.
August 10 → Absentee Ballots Available
Church members who cannot attend the vote can submit their ballots.
August 24 → Member Vote of Affirmation
The congregation votes to affirm new elders and deacons at the Annual Meeting.
