Elder and Deacon Nomination Timeline 2026

March 22 – April 20 → Open Nominations
The congregation submits nominations for elders and deacons.

April 20 - May 5 → Nominations Reviewed
Elders review submissions and begin a week of prayer.

May 13 – 31 → Nominations Vetted
Selected candidates go through interviews and application processes.

June 2 → Current elders interview nominees for elder

July 7 → Final Elder Approval
After a month of prayer, elders finalize the list of candidates.

July 26 → Congregation Informed
Candidates for elders and deacons are announced to the church.

August 9-23 → Absentee Ballots Available
Church members who cannot attend the vote can submit their ballots.

August 23 → Member Vote of Affirmation
The Wellspring Membership votes to affirm new elders and deacons at the Annual Meeting.
