WELCOME TO WELLSPRING
It takes courage to be open to checking out a new church. But the truth is, everyone at Wellspring was new at some point. We know what that’s like. Maybe you’ve been a long time believer and God is moving in you to check out a new place to worship, to gather in community, and to make a difference in the world. Maybe you’re completely new to the faith, learning the basics, and are looking to get connected to a church to walk along with you as you grow. Whatever your situation, here’s the steps available to take, all dependent on your own season of life.
STEP ONE
You’re here, you’re doing it! This is where you can get the basic information about Wellspring. You can explore this page to get a sense of what it’s like to come on a Sunday and see a video of our services. Want to see our beliefs? You can see our doctrinal statement online here.
Ready to come see us? Let’s proceed to step two.
Step Two
Come and see us in person on a Sunday! We worship at 9 and 11 am, and if you show up a little early, our friendly ambassadors in blue are around if you need them to show you how to check in kids, where to get a cup of coffee, and answer any questions you might have. If you’d rather visit incognito, that’s ok too, but we would love to meet you. Our pastors and leadership are always available in the Connection Center following the service.
So you’ve come a time or two…what’s next?
STEP THREE
At several points throughout the year, we’ll hold a special Newcomer’s Lunch. These are low-key, informal and free lunches available to you and your family where you can meet staff and leaders, ask questions, and get more information about Wellspring specific to your needs.
Meanwhile, you can get connected to Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies and begin growing in community. Another great way to meet people is to join a serve team. There’s something for everyone and every gifting. You can find more about getting involved online here.
Ready to dig in and go a little deeper to see if Wellspring is for you? That’s step four.
STEP FOUR
Discover Wellspring is our Membership Class. It’s similar in spirit to Newcomer’s Lunch, but we dig deeper with a comprehensive overview of Wellspring’s beliefs, our distinctives, ministries, and resources available to those who call Wellspring home. You’ll get an opportunity to learn more about connecting, serving, giving and personal discipleship. Again, it’s free, and we provide a delicious homestyle meal and child care if you need it. You can learn more about Discover Wellspring and why we believe membership is important on our website.
Once you’ve decided Wellspring is home, the journey of living on mission for God is just beginning.
STEP FIVE
As you become part of the Wellspring family, our mission and goal is to help you continue growing in your relationship with Christ while turning around and pouring out His love into the lives of others. Through biblical community, serving, giving, and intentional discipleship, you'll discover that following Jesus isn't meant to be done alone.
Whether that's joining a Rooted group, a Bible study, serving on a ministry team, mentoring someone in the faith, or sharing the hope of Christ with your neighbors, our prayer is that you'll become someone who is making disciples as you follow Jesus yourself.
We're always excited to see how God works in and through His people. Not only at Wellspring, but wherever He has placed you.
WHO’S WELLSPRING?
We’re a family-oriented, gospel-centered, non-denominational fellowship in Hudsonville, Michigan. We carry our mission forward through four core values of the church: Worshiping God Together, Doing Life Together, Serving Others Together and Sharing Jesus Together. Check out the short video here:
Over the centuries, the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has not changed, but the methods of delivering it have. While we strive to be culturally relevant, Wellspring is unwilling to compromise on the infallibility of God’s Word in order to reach all generations.
We’re committed to helping people identify, develop and use their spiritual gifts to glorify God, to find a loving and welcoming community and to grow spiritually. We’ve got a spot for you, regardless of age! Dress casually and come as you are!
NEED A BIBLE?
God's word is living and active, and we believe it is God-breathed and inerrant. We grow spiritually by daily seeking God inside Scripture. If you need a Bible, we’d love to put one in your hands. Feel free to take one on Sunday, or stop by during office hours and we’ll provide one for you!
CHECK OUT A LIVESTREAM!
Each Sunday, we go live at 9:00am. While there’s nothing quite like worshiping along side us in person, you can check out what a typical worship service is like before you come, you can see it on our homepage.
FIRST THING YOU’LL NOTICE
Our building is back off Bauer Road about a half mile. Our driveway is marked with a gray sign with blue letters, pass through our public disc golf course and reach the parking lot. You’ll see Entrance E as you come up to the building, and you can turn left into our Guest Parking area. Our parking lot team will help you get to a convenient spot.
WHAT TO EXPECT
After parking, come through Entrance E at the front of the building. Upon entering Entrance E, you will be greeted with a kind “hello” from folks with helpful answers. Where the restrooms are, where to take kids, where to get a cup of hot, fresh coffee.
Our Guest/Kids Check-In is front and center with easy access to our sanctuary. Dress is casual, the worship is contemporary with a full band and the atmosphere is friendly and laid back. If you’d like to chat or know more, you can meet members of our team and get some more information from the Connection Center in the lobby.
