ABOUT the WELLSPRING YOUTH MINISTRY

The vision we have for Wellspring Church Youth Ministries is as follows: “Connecting Students to Christ…on Mission…with Each Other.” This statement comes from John 15, in which Christ tells the parable of the vine and the branches. Without the vine, a branch is completely incapable of bearing fruit without remaining in the vine. Similarly, without a connection to Christ, it’s impossible for any of us to be fruitful. It is the purpose of Wellspring Church Youth Ministries to connect students to Christ so that they can be fruitful.

Jesus uses the vine parable as a jumping off point to explain His mission of love which comes directly from God the Father. This mission is to keep God’s commands and to remain in His love.

Love is designed to be shared. Christ says that His command is this, from John 4:14: “Love each other as I have loved you.” We desire to instill a genuine love of Jesus Christ in each of the students who attend Wellspring Church Youth Ministries. This love will naturally overflow into love for each other and for the people in the world.

The goal is that when students complete their years of Kids Ministry and Youth Ministry at Wellspring Church, they are ready, willing and able from a spiritual standpoint to take personal ownership of Jesus’ Great Commission.
